ROBIN GARSIDE

Robin Garside plays fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin. He writes some of his own material, performs Blues, traditional folksongs, fiddle tunes and even a smidgeon of Jazz. He has performed at most of the major Folk Festivals at home and has travelled widely abroad.

As well as solo performances, Robin plays fiddle and sings with the Monkeys Orphan Sea Song & Shanty group, with the electric Ceilidh Dance band, The Rhythm Chaps, and, has sessioned on other artists' recordings.

Robin teaches folk fiddle on the music degree course at Barnsley College and is the leader of the Sheffield Traditional Fiddlers Society.

Robin can be heard accompanying folk legend John Conolly on his live album and on tour around the country.

Robin laces his performances with a liberal dose of droll wit, banter and repartee to ensure his audience goes home smiling!
